Pacific Grove, CA: family caregiving lobbying inHome for the elderly in Sacramento: view from A private duty caregiver serve, Carmel, Carmel, Carmel Valley, Gonzalez, Gilroy, Hollister, King City, Marina, Monterey, Pacific Grove, Pebble Beach, Salinas, seaside & Soledad California

I got back from our State Capitol after two days of lobbying against SB 411 (the home care services act 2011) and AB 889 (the domestic workers Bill of rights). Both bills have positive aspects, but I believe, written, would significantly increase the cost of non-medical in home private duty in-home family caregiving services does. AB 889 more than twice the cost for 24-hour nursing services that many of our customers have indeed, unless the shifts in 3 8 hours per day were broken pieces. It would maintainer for a client on a 24-hour schedule in comparison with five or six to the two we generally such jobs to apply. This would make the budget more messy, in my opinion, and would be particularly hard to suffer from Alzheimer's or dementia as probably should we maintainer to change, while the client was sleeping. With a caregiver, if it is go to bed and another when they wake up probably very disturbing for people with Alzheimer's disease. Of the two accounts is particularly worrying is that it originally has infiltrated, that try and discourage or regulate private duty caregivers are rented out under the table. I am completely in favour of this. Unfortunately, they cast a much wider network and are designed onerous burdens, financial and administrative, to professional companies like mine. Unfortunately, this industry is running on a razor-thin margin, and leads costs past us having to pass the costs to the client. It is unjust, and in my opinion unnecessary. It is frustrating that some legislation even understand not the difference between medical services and non-medical, and they vote on things that violate laws in seniors become could or. On the positive side of our company could bear witness in opposition of 889 AB July 6 before the Senate Labor Committee, and we made some points that were well received. On the negative side of SB 411 Assembly Human Services Committee and the Assembly Health Committee and on the approval. Not enough votes in the Committee which we testified before, get from 889, but it did pass absent members of the Committee, which later voted and there was... The Chairman and other members of the Senate Labor Committee expressed doubt that the Bill it into law as it is too complicated to to implement, what a relief. Sponsors of both bills have agreed to negotiate some changes with our commercial group CAHSAH (California Association for health services at home) and my thumb is I will keep that including measures to ensure that seniors have to pay the unnecessary costs.

About Richard Kühn & family in-home caregiving Monterey:
After more than a decade of care I was dissatisfied with the service of local care agencies in a professional environment and for a 97-year-old family member. I was the need for a service that provides very personal support for the elderly and the family founded inHome caregiving, convinced the Monterey Peninsula.
